Trigger Points in the muscles of the forearm; Flexor Carpi Radialis, Flexor Carpi Ulnaris, Palmaris Longus, Pronator Teres, and even the muscles of the chest and back; Pectoralis Major and Minor, Serratus Anterior, Latissimus Dorsi, can all refer pain into the wrist. Though this referred pain is not yet Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, the continued strain and micro-tears of these muscles can eventually lead to the inflammation that will inhibit the free movement of the forearm tendons and the entrapment of the Median Nerve, all of which pass through the Carpal Tunnel Passageway on the anterior/palm side of the wrist. When this happens, the symptoms of numbness, tingling, and loss of hand strength will be added to the pain and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome will be the result. |

Studies have shown that NeuroMuscular Therapy will diminish Carpal Tunnel Symptoms and increase grip strength by locating which Muscles/Trigger Points are the cause, reducing the tension in these muscles, speeding the repair of torn tissue, and releasing the Trigger Points.
